Workshops - Forward From Here

Training and Workshops

Leaders know the conversation needs to happen. The decision needs to be made. The feedback needs to be given. They've had the training, and they understand the theory.

What gets in the way is what happens internally when leadership starts feeling risky.

  • The feedback gets softened until the useful part disappears.
  • The difficult conversation gets rescheduled.
  • The decision gets reopened.
  • Delegation doesn't happen because somehow it's just quicker to do it yourself.
  • The change initiative loses momentum, not because the strategy is wrong, but because something keeps pulling toward safety.

This isn't a skills gap. It's what ambivalence looks like inside an organisation, and it shows up in every leadership team, at every level, under every kind of pressure.

All of the programmes below are built on The Ministry of Not Yet - a behavioural framework that gives those protective patterns a name, and makes them something people can actually talk about.

Meet Your Ministry Why Leaders and Teams Get Stuck at the Point of Change

A practical introduction to the protective patterns that shape leadership behaviour under pressure.

Participants leave with a clearer picture of which patterns are most active for them, a shared language for recognising what's happening when momentum stalls, and a framework they can return to every time the same dynamic resurfaces.

Well suited to: leadership teams, people managers, senior cohorts, organisations where the same challenges keep reappearing despite good strategy and clear direction.

Can be delivered as a standalone session or as part of a wider leadership development programme.

The Ministry in the Room Better conversations under pressure

A practical workshop focused on real workplace conversations, the ones that keep not landing, not happening, or not going the way they need to.

Participants learn how to recognise the protective patterns active in themselves and others, how to prepare for difficult conversations, and how to respond more effectively when resistance appears in the room.

Well suited to: performance conversations, feedback skills, change management, leadership development, any context where the conversations that matter most keep feeling harder than they should.

Leading Through the Ministry Leadership development for change, accountability and movement

A deeper programme for leaders navigating uncertainty, resistance and organisational complexity.

Covers the full range of Ministry dynamics, in the leader's own behaviour, across their team, and in the conversations where both are active simultaneously. Participants leave with practical tools, a shared language and real-world application across the leadership challenges that matter most.

Includes: difficult conversations, delegation, decision-making, performance, change leadership, feedback and accountability.

Leadership coaching

For leaders working on the moves that keep feeling harder than they should: the visibility, the conversation, the decision, the change they keep nearly leading.

Individual coaching using the Ministry framework alongside motivational interviewing and behaviour change practice.

Observation and practice development

I work alongside leaders in practice, sitting in on real coaching conversations and team interactions, then providing direct feedback on what's happening and what would help.

This comes directly from my background as a practice and performance lead, and it tends to be where the most useful shifts happen.

Bespoke programmes
